Tom is honoured to be serving as the Chairperson of CAIS, the Association of Irish Farmhouse Cheesemakers, and to have played a part in hosting the Irish Cheese Awards this week! It was truly a privilege to witness the dedication, skill, and passion of Ireland’s finest cheesemakers shining bright at this memorable event.
The Irish Cheese Awards are a celebration of the incredible talent within the Irish farmhouse cheese community, and it was inspiring to see so many outstanding cheeses recognised. From traditional methods to innovative new flavours, the quality on display was exceptional.
At Bó Rua Farm, we understand the hard work that goes into crafting great cheese, and it was a pleasure to be part of such a special occasion and to meet up with so many of our fellow farmhouse cheesemakers. Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone who continues to elevate the craft of Irish cheesemaking.
